Nashville to Greensboro, NC. We woke up to rain. Not hard rain but rain. We had ridden 8 days and it looked like today we would get wet. Our bikes were parked inside so our overview was dry. As we left to head to Chick-fil-A for breakfast a rain suit was needed.
Breakfast is always good at Chick-fil-A and they had a tent set up so we were dry. Dan said a short prayer and we were off again. This was the last full day of the ride and we were like a horse that could see the barn we were ready to get there.
Brentwood, TN to Crossville, TN Crossville to Waynesville, NC we were in and out of rain. As I said never really hard but just enough to make you say STOP already.
As we can down out of the mountains the sky began to clear. Mocksville, NC fuel a hot cup of coffee and a Krispy Kreme doughnut. The crowds at each fuel stop today had gotten bigger and bigger and the last stop was no exception.
Back on the bike you begin to think about all you've seen and the places you've been in the last 9 days. It's a blur sometimes but the riders and the people you meet are always with you. You always remember the kind words and the donations to the camp.
We as riders are Blessed to have met people like you...Miles, 489
